Oh My Raw! Manifesto:
I am passionate about raw food and the transformative power it holds. I aim to make raw foods:
- Practical: I teach easy, simply ways to eat more fresh, vibrant raw foods – ones you can make at home and with a busy life or family.
- Flexible: Raw food is not a religion! Some days are good, some moments are bad; most important is to learn why we make less-than-desirable food choices and work with that.
Raw foods are for everyone, not just raw foodists!

About Sarah

I have attended the Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, California, a world-recognized raw food education centre. I’m currently enrolled and studying to become a Certified Health Coach.
I also have a Masters Degree from Carleton University and work part-time as a researcher at a local primary health care research institute.
My Journey
My journey began in 2007 after my father’s diagnosis of stage four incurable cancer. I was searching for alternative therapies to compliment his chemotherapy and radiation.
Being a health nut and longtime vegetarian, I was naturally drawn to raw foods (plus the healing benefits were undeniable). After a few weeks of raw, I was simply amazed at how my own digestion had cleared up. I thought more clearly too. I had never felt better in my life!
Preparing raw food meals for my father, and for myself, led me to a love of cooking that I never thought I would have. While my father is no longer with us today, I now carry on the message of raw foods (to pretty much anyone who will listen).
And this love of eating healthy, wholesome food is alive and well in my two year old son (who enjoys his green smoothies just as much as his mother does!).
“Sarah is so knowledgeable yet not dogmatic about raw nutrition and I like it. I learned a lot about fermentation, sprouting, and making my own wheatgrass and sunflower greens. The class was fun and relaxed as all her classes are. I always meet interesting people there and yesterday was no exception. Sarah is a real gem in the small world of rawfoodism.”

“Sarah is so pleasant, gentle, informative and fun to be with, most importantly, everything she prepared was exceptional and I left with a tummy full of such contentment, determined to start cooking RAW!” ~Brian, 45
“My husband and I are really enjoying your recipes and the raw food theme! We have had smoothies almost every single day since your seminar in mid-January. He craves these drinks as much as I do. We feel great and I have actually lost 5 lbs to-date! Thanks again for your very informative seminars, your amazing and delicious recipes, and of course, inspiring me to make positive changes in my life.” ~Denise, 38

My Goal
A plant-based journey is a special one. It is a new way of looking at the world. Nurturing our bodies is of utmost importance so that we many live every day to its most beautiful expression and love everyone we love to the fullest.
You don’t have to committ to it 100% but try adding a little, bit by bit, and gradually you will see the magic that it brings into your life. Nurture your journey through classes, surrounding yourself with like-minded people, buying or borrowing all the books and recipes you can get your hands on and even watching inspiring plant-based documentaries. There are many of them!
My goal with Oh My Raw! is to add to your journey by being a source of information, inspirational of what is possible.
